Tuition is paid by the sending district to the receiving district. Districts may elect not to enroll school choice students if no space is available, according to the <a href="http://www.doe.mass.edu/finance/schoolchoice/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Massachusetts Departrment of Education. </a>
