WALTHAM, MA — All of the following is from Waltham Police Blotter. They are excerpts taken from the public police log and represent a portion of what kinds of calls the police respond to. Friday, Jan. 5
Hit and Run: Someone called police to report a hit and run just after midnight on Moody near Main Street.
Uh, oh: A car caught fire at Waltham Auto Body on Crescent Street, around 7:45 p.m.

Death: Someone reported a death on Woburn Street.
Saturday, Jan. 6
Heroin: Someone called just after 9 p.m. to report a person had overdosed on heroine on Judith Lane.

Too loud: Police responded to a report of a loud noise at the Extended Stay Deluxe hotel on Fourth Avenue just before midnight.
Fraud: A Rumford Ave resident called to report someone had stolen their identity.
Sunday, Jan. 7
Did I do that? Someone called to report they were locked out on Chester Lane around 1:28 a.m.
That was weird: Police responded to a report of something suspicious happening at the Extended Stay Deluxe hotel on Fourth Avenue.
Was that? Someone reported they thought they heard gunshots on or near Ablemarle Road around 8:15 p.m.
Arrest, Warrant: Police arrested Wilinton Rodas, 53, of Gibbs Court at 4:45 p.m. on a warrant. His warrant included two counts of leaving the scene of a crash, negligent operation of a car, drunk driving (2nd offense) and "miscellaneous munic. ordinance."
Monday, Jan. 8
Fires: Someone reported a building on Wyman Street was on fire at 4:25 a.m. And later in the day someone reported 100 Fifth Avenue was on fire. Then just after 7 p.m. someone reported a transformer was on fire on Lexington Street.
Suspicious?: Police responded to a report of a suspicious incident at the Whittemore School at 8:11 a.m.
Don't Drink & Drive: Someone called to report a hit and run outside of Gordon's Liquor just after 6 p.m.
Warrant Arrest: Police arrested Jose Cedeno, 37, of Robbins Street at 3:05 p.m. on a warrant for his arrest for assault and battery on an ambulance personnel.
Tuesday, Jan. 9
Not a good start for the week: Someone called to report an assault and battery at the Home Suites Inn on Totten Pond Road.
Fire on the field?: Someone reported a fire on Elsie Turner Field on Trapelo Road around 10:20 p.m.
Warrant Arrest: Police arrested Timothy Vater, 47, homeless at 7:43 p.m. on a warrant for drug possession.
Wednesday, Jan. 10
Overdose: Police responded to a report of an overdose on Walnut Street at 1:20 a.m. and one on River Road at 8 p.m.
Threats: Someone reported they were the subject of threats on River Road.
Too Loud: Someone reported it was too loud on Fuller Street just after 9 p.m.
Assault on a Cop? Police arrested Patrick Kane, 62, homeless and charged him at 6:30 p.m. with assault and battery on a police officer and assault with a deadly weapon.
Fugitive: Police arrested Miguel Ponte, 24, of Weston Street on a warrant as a fugitive from justice and for obstruction of justice.
