'Carry On, Warrior': Waltham Library's Inspiring Book Series
The Initiating Inspiration Book Group meets regularly.

March 26, 2018
The Waltham Public Library’s Initiating Inspiration Book Group met Monday night in the lecture hall. The group meets regularly “to offer a thoughtful mixture of self-empowering and spiritually inspired pieces of literature,” and welcomes all readers.
Monday’s book of exploration was “Carry On, Warrior” by Glennon Doyle Melton. It is a personal and brazen memoir of one woman who chose the bravery of openness rather than the cowardice of the façade of a perfect life.

One quote which resonated with participants in the group was, “I don’t want to take anything to the grave. I want to die used up and emptied out. I don’t want to carry around anything that I don’t have to. I want to travel light.” In a culture of ever-increasing dispute with diversity, and daily tragedies amongst normal lives, this message of unabashed openness stood out.
Copies of “Carry on Warrior” can be borrowed from the Waltham Public Library.

The next meeting of Initiating Inspiration Book Group will discuss "Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor Frankl. Readers interested in empowering literature are welcome to attend on Monday, May 21, from 7:15 to 8:45 PM at the Waltham Public Library Lecture Hall.
