'Chronicle' Visits Relatively New Waltham Restaurant

The Moody Street restaurant opened in July.

“Chronicle,” the WCVB news magazine TV show, recently visited Red Bird, the relatively new restaurant on Moody Street in Waltham.

According to “Chronicle,” “Red Bird is evidence yet again of talented, ambitious restaurant teams making a splash in more affordable suburban spaces.”

“Chroncile” highlights four entrées on the chef/owner Daniel Stokes’ current menu.

  • Duck confit, root vegetable hash, Hollandaise ($22)
  • Grilled Hanger Steak, caramelized Brussel sprouts, torn and fried potatoes, bone marrow butter ($28)
  • Pan roasted chicken breast, rapini, new potatoes, cipollini, sherry mustard pan jus ($23)
  • Pork loin schnitzel, bacon braised cabbage, Spätzle, gravy ($26)
