Dukes Of Hazzard Star Was In Character: Tom Wopat's Lawyer
Actor Tom Wopat's attorney told reporters that his client was in character during the alleged assault.

WALTHAM, MA —Former "Dukes of Hazzard" TV star, Tom Wopat, was back in court in Waltham on Monday after being charged with indecent assault. This time, his lawyer told WHDH that the alleged events took place in the middle of rehearsal in front of the cast and crew and that Wopat was in character.
"It's our understanding that this is completely consistent with his role as Julian Marsh in the 42nd Street show," said Neil Tassel this morning to 7 News. After the court visit.
Wopat, 66, is accused of sexually harassing two women colleagues this summer at the Reagle Music Theater in Waltham during rehearsal of a musical production. He's accused of hitting a 16-year-old girl’s rear with his script, touching her stomach and making her uncomfortable with how he spoke to her. This comes on the heels of an earlier arrest and accusation

Tassel, filed a motion requesting the script and a list of possible witnesses, according to WHDH.
