Waltham Crossings and the John M. Sullivan VFW Post #10334 celebrated Flag Day last Thursday. Flag Day is a celebration of the American flag that occurs each year on the anniversary of the flag’s official adoption, June 14.
VFW Post Commander Norman Peterson led the ceremony with help from Sr. Vice Commander Jeff Fogg, former Post Commander Mac Moran, VFW member Dan Davis, Waltham VSA Mike Russo and VFW member Bob White.
Special guest appearances we made by Sam Rizzi, a student at the North East elementary school who played Taps during the ceremony and by Mayor Jeanette McCarthy.
