Foundation for MetroWest to Honor Waltham business-owner, Ken Vona, with Business Community Leader Award

Foundation for MetroWest to Honor Sudbury resident, Ken Vona, with Business Community Leader Award at 2016 Community Leadership Breakfast

August 17, 2016 (Natick, MA) — Foundation for MetroWest is pleased to announce their fifth annual Community Leadership Breakfast featuring Brian Kelley of Keurig Green Mountain as Keynote Speaker. The Breakfast will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM at the Boston Marriott Newton at 2345 Commonwealth Avenue in Newton, Massachusetts. The event will honor Ken Vona with the Business Community Leader Award. Ken Vona is president of Kenneth Vona Construction (located in Waltham, MA), and is an award-winning builder who has created some of our areas most beautiful and discerning homes. He is a master craftsman who is able to bring to life the vision and dreams of his clients.

A long-time resident of Sudbury, Ken’s spirit of volunteerism and philanthropic engagement in a wide-range of local charitable causes is an inspiration and exemplifies what it means to be a community leader. Ken served on the Board of Trustees at the Foundation for MetroWest from 2007-2016, and continues to play an important role in the Foundation’s work in the community.

As the only community foundation for the MetroWest region, the Foundation for MetroWest represents one of the fastest growing types of philanthropic organizations in the country. Grants distributed through the Foundation for MetroWest help build economic security, create vibrant and safe neighborhoods, foster academic achievement, support human wellness, protect the environment, and enhance the overall quality of life.
