Mark Willis, Joey Ford, Evan Clark, and Mitch Warren, Waltham — What, no quarterback or running back here? In a 14-6 win over Westford and its all-star quarterback Connor Degenhardt, it was the defense that stood tall and lifted the Hawks to a 3-2 record. Westford took over the ball with less than 4 minutes left but whether it was a key sack or pass break-up, the Waltham defense led by seniors Warren and Ford and juniors Willis and Clark, that came up big.

Holmes previously named senior quarterback John Coates a "Player of the Week" for Week 2.
