The Gore Place Fall Festival

Saturday, September 24 from noon to 5 pm

Craft brews, live music, a beer can museum, and a half-ton of flying pumpkins will highlight the 3rd annual Fall Festival at Gore Place on September 24 from noon to 5pm.

(WALTHAM, MA) What do craft beers and ciders, live music, and half-a-ton of flying pumpkins have in common? They’ll all be at Gore Place on Saturday, September 24 from noon to 5pm.

The Beer Tent will feature brews from Cape Ann Brewing, Hopsters, and Downeast Cider. As for the music, it’ll be a wide selection: Damn Tall Buildings have been called “The Carter family for the millennial generation” while Merrimack Valley Bluegrass are straight-up traditional. The 20 piece Boston Scottish Fiddle Club Orchestra provide the jigs and reels as do Adrienne Howard (fiddle) and Emily Peterson (concertina). Alma Antigua play driving tunes of Latin America and the Mediterranean regions while Jeremy Lyons’ Delta-Silly Music plays roots music for kids that parents love too! There’ll even be an exhibit of rare beer cans from the vast collection of The Beer Can Museum and Hall of Fame, a museum the Associated Press called "A hidden gem." Schedule subject to change. Visit www.goreplace.org for updates.

According to Thom Roach, Director of Interpretation and Programs, “This is our third Fall Festival and it promises to be a great one! Where else can you see half-a-ton of pumpkins smash all at once? And, they won’t go to waste--the sheep and chickens will have a pumpkin feast! Visitors can buy from local brewers while listening to music at three locations and, at a predetermined time, we’ll let loose the pumpkins from a giant crane! That’s something you don’t see every day!”
