Heroin, Fentanyl Trafficking In Waltham: Grand Jury Indictments

The DA released three Waltham related grand jury indictments Monday.

WALTHAM, MA — Three men were indicted by a Middlesex Grand Jury in connection with possession and intent to distribute or traffic drugs - including fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine - they allegedly had in Waltham recently, the District Attorney's office announced Monday. Waltham is no stranger to fallout related to opioids. This spring there was an uptick in the number of overdoses.

  • Joseph Carroll, 37, of Abington, was charged with possession with the intent to distribute heroin. The Assistant District Attorney is Nils Lundblad.
  • James Case, 48, of Billerica, was charged with trafficking over 10 grams of fentanyl, distribution of a Class B substance, possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance, possession with intent to distribute heroin, subsequent offense, and being a habitual criminal (4 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Nils Lundblad.
  • Rubencito Telfort, 35, of Waltham, was charged with trafficking cocaine and possession with the intent to distribute marijuana. He was arrested in Waltham in April. The Assistant District Attorney is Robert Meltzer.
