Learn how to dry and dehydrate local foods

Join Wright-Locke Farm for this workshop on Tuesday, August 11

Wright-Locke Farm will be hosting several late summer and fall workshops for teens and adults looking to learn practical skills related to local food and the natural landscape of the farm. Future workshops to be hosted this year include canning, flower arranging, stargazing, healthy soup making, and more.

Their next program, an Introduction to Drying and Dehydrating the Harvest Workshop, is this upcoming Tuesday, August 11 from 6 - 7:30pm at Saint Eulalia’s Parish (50 Ridge Street, Winchester, MA). Participants will learn how to utilize drying and dehydrating as a technique to preserve select fruits, veggies, herbs, and flowers from the home garden, farmers market, CSA share, and local foraging, and will get to see and sample an array of tasty examples to try at home.

Workshop fee is $20 per person (ages 14+). Registration is required, but payment can be made the day of the workshop (exact cash or check only, please). Visit our website to sign up or to see our other adult education workshop offerings!
