Players receive a notification that a Pokémon is near as they go about their daily lives. Once it appears on their phone screen, they can throw a PokéBall to catch it and add it to their PokéDex. The aim of the real-world scavenger hunt, reflecting Pokémon's motto for more than a decade, is to "catch 'em all."
