Rockland Trust Expands Waltham Commercial Lending Office; Appoints William H. Heald and Joseph T. Scurio to Waltham Commercial Banking Team
Waltham (September 17, 2015) – Rockland Trust announced the addition of two new lenders to their Waltham commercial banking team. William H. Heald and Joseph T. Scurio were each appointed as Vice President of Commercial Lending and are based at the Bank’s newly expanded offices on 1290 Main Street in Waltham. The expansion includes new office space that was added to the building’s second floor to accommodate Rockland Trust’s growing services to commercial enterprises and business in Waltham. In addition, the first-floor branch was completely renovated and a new teller line was added for more convenience.
Bill Heald joined Rockland Trust from People’s United Bank where he served as Senior Vice President of Business Banking for four years. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Business Banking for Citizens Bank for more than ten years. He holds a Master of Education from Lesley University in Cambridge, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Heald is also a graduate of the Massachusetts Bankers Association’s School of Leadership and Commercial Lending Program. He lives in Natick with this wife and two daughters.
Joe Scurio most recently served as Vice President and Group Head of East Boston Savings Bank’s Commercial Lending Division. Prior to that he was Assistant Vice President of Commercial Lending at Everett Co-operative Bank and SBA (Small Business Administration) Lender at Danvers Bank. Scurio has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Salem State University, and an Associate of Science in Business Administration from the New England College of Finance. A retired member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard with 20 years of service, he also holds AS (Associate in Applied Science) degrees in Human Resources and in Criminal Justice from the Community College of the Air Force. Scurio is an active member of the community and sits on the Board of the Peabody Tanners Little League Softball and is a former Board member and Treasurer of the Revere Chamber of Commerce. He lives in Peabody with his wife and three children.
