A Taste of Munich Comes to Waltham During Oktoberfest at Not Your Average Joe's
Recently-Opened Restaurant Celebrates the Start of Fall with a Bavarian-Inspired Menu and Beer Feast
Oktoberfest hits Waltham as Not Your Average Joe’s serves up its fresh, made-from-scratch cuisine with a Bavarian twist to celebrate the festival. The recently opened restaurant is featuring authentic dishes created by Executive Chef Jeff Tenner, including Bier Garten Bratwurst, Schnitzel and Kugel and Beer Braised Clams and Linguine.
To compliment the dishes, the restaurant is also offering a selection of local and German Fall brews such as Wolaver’s Organic Pumpkin Ale (Burlington, VT), Sam Adams Octoberfest (Boston, MA), Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest (Munich, Germany) and Paulaner Oktoberfest (Munich, Germany). Special cocktails include the Autumn Spice Sangria (house infused apple-ginger brandy, Shellback spiced rum, Carlson Orchards’ apple cider, pomegranate juice and pinot grigio) and The Great Pumpkin Martini (Tito’s Handmade vodka, Kahlua pumpkin and Hiram Walker pumpkin liqueur rimmed with caramel and graham cracker crumbs).
For one night only, Wednesday, October, 30, Not Your Average Joe’s will host a Beer Feast, a five-course beer pairing dinner with the special brews and dishes for $30 per person. The restaurant will also host a complimentary (and educational) beer tasting on Tuesday, September 29 at the bar.
