Maintaining our cities public safety -
If elected as a Councillor-at-large, one of my top priorities would be to ensure that we maintain and strengthen the City’s level of public safety. Having recently retired as Waltham’s Fire Chief and having served the City proudly in various positions in the Waltham Fire Department for over 35 years, I have gained a great deal of experience in public safety and leadership. I have been able to work successfully with many different groups in these capacities to advance Waltham’s public safety goals.
As a leader, I believe that good ideas come from many levels and places, not just from the top. As Fire Chief, I sought out opinions and ideas from all levels of the organization in my decision-making so that I had all the information and perspectives available in making a final decision. No one can lead or make sound decisions in a vacuum. I am very honored and pleased to have received the endorsements of the Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts (PFFM), the Massachusetts Coalition of Police, and the Waltham Fire Fighters Local 866.

As a City Councillor, I will listen to the citizens and seek out ideas to solve the challenges we face as a City. In these very uncertain times that we unfortunately find ourselves in, keeping our families and cities safe needs to be a top priority and as your City Councillor, I will be vigilant in making it one of the City’s priorities and will use my leadership and public safety experience to serve you.
Please consider me as one of your votes today as you head to the polls. Thank you.
