In her talk, Elizabeth S. Levy Merrick, author of Being There Then: A Guide to Exploring Boston’s Historic House Museums, will discuss themes and challenges of house museums, informed by her extensive visitation to houses of Greater Boston. Highlighted among several local house museums will be the site of the talk, Stonehurst, the Robert Treat Paine Estate, owned by the City of Waltham.
