For almost twenty years, WFCF Learning Garden Programs have been enabling hands-on learning about science and natural ecosystems, crop production and the farm environment, nutrition and food choices, and group cooperation. In the Learning Garden, children participate in a range of activities such as planting vegetables, exploring the compost pile, caring for our chickens, observing wildlife, playing games, and cooking. We focus on hands-on Farm-to-Table programming, providing opportunities for participants to prepare and eat healthy, farm fresh snacks in the solar kitchen of our outdoor classroom.
