Waltham Man Arraigned on Charges of Allegedly Touching Child Inappropriately at Public Pool

His court hearing is set for Aug. 10.

A Waltham man is facing charges after he allegedly touched a minor while swimming at Connors Pool.

Victor Lopez, 37, of Waltham was arraigned on July 13 on a charge of indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of 14, according to the Middlesex district attorney.

Waltham District Court Judge Gregory Flynn set bail at $3,000 cash and ordered Lopez to surrender his passport, stay away from the alleged victim and witnesses, have no unsupervised contact with children under the age of 16, and stay away from all Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation pools.

The next scheduled court hearing is Monday, August 10.

Police were contacted on Saturday, July 11, by personnel at Connors Pool on Rivers Street in Waltham after they received a report that a man inappropriately touched a minor who was swimming in the pool.
