Waltham Police's Call of the Year

Someone recently called Waltham Police after finding a “dog” on a leash in a front yard that wasn’t moving, even after a shake.

An officer responded to dispatch that it was “clear that [the] stuffed animal is doing fine.”

Waltham Police called it the “#calloftheyear” on their Twitter account, @WalthamMAPolice.

So many questions remain: Why was a stuffed animal on a leash in someone’s yard? And how did the caller mistake it for a real-life pooch?
