Waltham Super Tuesday Voting: What To Know For 2024
Everything you need to know to cast your ballot on Super Tuesday this year.

WALTHAM, MA — Super Tuesday is upon us, meaning local voters and those across the state will have a chance to vote in presidential primaries.
Massachusetts has a primary open to unaffiliated voters to select delegates to the national conventions. While registered Democrats and Republicans can only vote in their party's primary, unaffiliated voters can vote in either major party primary.
In Waltham, precincts will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you're voting by mail, drop your ballot in a designated box before 8 p.m., or deliver to the clerk's office. Poll workers do not accept mail-in ballots. Find your polling place here.

A coalition of elected officials and political groups want Democratic voters to choose "no preference" on Super Tuesday as part of a protest to push Biden to broker a ceasefire in Gaza, where more than 30,000 civilians have been killed during an Israeli bombardment targeting Hamas.
More than 100,000 voters in Michigan last week voted "uncommitted," earning two delegates. Biden won the state, which boasts one of the largest Arab-American populations in the U.S., with more than 600,000 votes. The Vote No Preference Massachusetts campaign wants at least the same number to vote "no preference" on Super Tuesday.
The coalition includes Somerville City Councilor Willie Burnley Jr., and members of groups like Massachusetts Peace Action, Massachusetts Muslims for Justice, Progressive Democrats of America, Massachusetts Healthcare Workers for Palestine and Arlington for Palestine.
