Waltham Teacher's Ultimate Team Wins National Championship
The Boston Brute Squad, which counts high school science teacher Aly Heath among its ranks, took home its second consecutive championship.
WALTHAM, MA – A Waltham High School science teacher who moonlights as a star on Boston's women's Ultimate team is now a two-time national champion.
Aly Heath's team, the Boston Brute Squad, took home its second consecutive Women's National Championship yesterday, besting the Seattle Riot in a rematch of last year's title game.
Ultimate, more commonly known as "Ultimate Frisbee," is a sport played with a flying disc. The name of the game is getting the disc to the opposing end zone, and the basic rules are that players must not take steps while holding the disc, and interceptions, incomplete passes and passes out of bounds are turnovers.

Brute Squad wasn't the only Ultimate team from Boston to take home a title; the area mixed team, Slow White, and men's squad, Ironside, both won their respective games, marking a clean sweep for Boston in the championships.
In addition to dominating the Ultimate pitch, Heath teaches science at Waltham High School.
