The 4th Annual Gore Place Fall Festival was held from Noon to 5:00 pm Saturday and as usual Boy Scout Troop 250 was there.
This year brought the return of the Trebuchet constructed by members of the Troop a little over four years ago. The Trebuchet is a type of siege engine which uses a swinging arm to throw a projectile, at this event the projectiles were small pumpkins. The record for distance exceeded 175' and was a Pumpkin signed by a couple of children.
The Troop also set up the Pinewood Derby track used by Cub Scout Pack 250. Children were provided with cars and wheels and built their own cars and raced them. And of course the Giant Jenga blocks were a hit.

Hot Dogs, Burgers, Popcorn, Fries, Pizza, hand made salad, Veggie and Salmon Burgers along with the Trbuchet and Derby Track made this a fun, exciting and enjoyable day for all. The Troop, Scouts and Adults alike, put in many hours of hard work to pull this off and we sincerely hope that we succeeded with providing our guests, young and old, with some quality entertainment and quality food options.
