Waltham/Watertown Relay For Life Coming in June

Relay benefits cancer research.

Strap on your sneakers. The Relay For Life is coming to Waltham and Watertown.

The Relay for Life of Watertown/Waltham, which benefits the American Cancer Society’s cancer research efforts, kicks off at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 8 and ends at 6 a.m. the next morning, according to their press release. The relayed will be held at Victory Field in Watertown.

With teams campaign overnight, they are expected to have at least one member on the track throughout the event.

“Relay For Life draws attention to the progress being made in the fight against cancer,” Relay For Life Volunteer chair Marie Tsacogianis said in a statement. “Many participants are our family, friends, and neighbors who have faced cancer themselves. Their involvement helps brings hope that, together, we can eliminate cancer as a major health problem.”
