Last year the engineering department was looking into drainage issues at the site. There have been numerous tests conducted on the soil, which was considered saturated and not suitable to build on without removing and replacing soils.
In July a community input meeting was held at Hillcroft Playground for the community’s input on design options. The director of parks and rec described the response from community members as passionate about the project.
