Water Main Break Update: Roads Now Open

Tuesday's water main break shut down roads in Waltham, Newton and Watertown.

WALTHAM, MA - Waltham police reported River, Seyon and Farwell streets are now open after Tuesday’s major water main break. Pleasant Street in Watertown and North Street in Newton have also been reopened.

The leak caused water to flood the intersection at River and Seyon Streets completely blocking Pleasant and North Streets.

The affected Waltham streets were reopened Wednesday morning and North street in Newton opened up Tuesday night.

The incident may have been accompanied by a gas leak, according to reports.
