Western Greenway Work Party for National Trails Day

Help improve sections of the Western Greenway Trail this Saturday!

This Saturday, June 4, is National Trails Day, where folks all over the country are working to improve and appreciate public trails. In the Chester Brook corridor of the Western Greenway trail, we need some people to help remove invasive plant species, make the path more level, dismantle a fire pit, and a few other tasks. Trash bags, work gloves gloves, water, instruction and some tools provided. Please bring water bottles, gloves, hand pruners, folding saws, and loppers if you have them. Poison ivy may be present, so wear long pants and sleeves, plus closed-toe shoes (not sandals). Park/meet at 10 am at the east-side (not Academy side) of the Our Lady's of the Afflicted Church parking lot, located at 920 Trapelo Road. We'll stop working at noon.
