The Waltham Philharmonic Orchestra will celebrate its 30th anniversary with an elegant fundraiser, “Italian Opera Gala,” on Saturday, April 30th. This event will include a cocktail hour, Italian dinner, and performances by noted soloists from The Bostonians and the Boston Latin School Chamber Choir. The gala will be emceed by Waltham’s own fashion diva, Yolanda Cellucci, and will take place at Dassault Systèmes, 175 Wyman St, Waltham, MA.

The featured soloists are Noune Karapetian, Soprano; Roselin Osser, Mezzo; Michael Calmés, Tenor; and Philip Lima, Bass. We’ll have a potpourri of some of the best of Italian opera,” says Music Director Michael Korn. “There will be food, wine, and music, and the most important objective of the evening is to have fun.”

The cocktail hour begins at 6PM; dinner at 7PM, and the performance at 8PM. Tickets are $60.00 per person and can be reserved online at wphil.org, or by calling the Ticket Line: 857-919-1385.

David Salstein, WPO board president, describes what makes this occasion so special: “Opera is an art form joining beautiful orchestral music, passionate voices, and drama, and the evening will be a fitting means to mark our milestone. We welcome the community to enjoy this event, which pairs a tasty Italian dinner with the lovely sounds of the Waltham Philharmonic musicians and guest vocalists. I encourage all to attend.”
