• Young man dies after motorcycle crash in Wareham, DA says (boston25news.com) — A 23-year-old Wareham man died Monday night after crashing his motorcycle near Charge Pond Road, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney. Wareham police and State Police say he was riding with a group but crashed alone into a wooded area near his home, and the investigation into what caused the accident is still ongoing.
   

• Rescuers frantically dig to free teen trapped in sand at Scussett Beach (capecodtimes.com) — Wareham firefighters were among several departments called to Scussett Beach in Sandwich on Tuesday to help free an 18-year-old who became dangerously trapped in collapsing sand. About 25 first responders worked for roughly half an hour to stabilize the hole, dig the teen out, and fly him to a Rhode Island hospital in stable condition.
