ā¢ Superintendent works with district leaders and coach in creating district's plan (theweektoday.com) ā Warehamās new school superintendent, Amy Hartley-Matteson, is quickly shaping a five-year plan for the district, working closely with school leaders and a state-run coaching program. Sheās focusing this year on multiple visits to each Wareham school, educator evaluations, and identifying strengths and improvement areas before presenting a comprehensive plan to the School Committee in November.

ā¢ Richard Michael Morano, 83 (theweektoday.com) ā Wareham is mourning longtime resident Richard Michael Morano, 83, who passed away on August 22 and whose visiting hours and funeral Mass will be held in town on August 30 and 31. A former hedge fund manager and avid problem-solver, he cherished family time, especially challenging his grandchildren with chess, riddles, and math. Ā Ā Ā
