19-Year-Old Man Arrested in Connection to Robbery in Parking Lot of CVS in Watertown Square
Man originally said he was a victim, but police determined he is a suspect in the robbery.

Police arrested a 19-year-old Watertown man on June 27 in connection with a robbery that occurred in the parking lot behind the CVS in Watertown Square last week.
Watertown Police received an arrest warrant for Gerard Patrick Coffey, 19, of 28 Center St. in Watertown, for unarmed robbery and two counts of intimidating a witness, said Police Sgt. Thomas Grady.
On June 25 at 12:13 a.m., a woman told police she had been robbed in the municipal parking lot behind CVS. At 12:55 a.m. the same night police received another report of a robbery in the same parking lot.

Grady said that the second report turned out to be made by Coffey.
“Originally he claimed to be a victim, but now he is a suspect,” Grady said.

The investigation is still going on, Grady said, so he could not release more details.
