Allston Man Arrested on OUI Charge After Running Into Another Car

The man was driving his friend's car when he collided with another car on Arsenal Street.

A 31-year-old Allston man faces driving under the influence of alcohol charges after he got into an accident on Arsenal Street on Feb. 16 at 8:37 p.m.

German Rodriguez of 57 Hooker St. in Allston, was driving a Lincoln on near the Arsenal Mall when he struck the back of a Nissan Pathfinder, said Watertown Police Sgt. Thomas Grady.

"The operator was driving a Lincoln owned by another person in the car," Grady said. "All three people in the car were intoxicated."

The Nissan was in a different lane when it was hit from behind by the Lincoln, Grady said.

The officer performed field sobriety tests on Rodriguez, and placed him under arrest. He also discovered that Rodriguez had a suspended license.

Rodriguez was arreste on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, unlicensed driving and marked lanes violation, Grady said.
