Auditions for The Christmas Revels Coming Up
The Watertown-based singing group will perform its annual Christmas concert in Cambridge, tryouts are in April

The following information was provided by The Revels:
Revels is seeking a diverse and talented group of adults and children to join us onstage in the 42nd annual production of The Christmas Revels, scheduled to run 16 performances at Harvard University’s Sanders Theatre in Cambridge, Dec. 14 -27, 2012.
Volunteer Chorus Auditions will be held Sunday, April 29 & Monday, April 30 at , 80 Mt. Auburn Street, Watertown.

CHILDREN’S AUDITIONS: Children (age 7-12) will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. both days. (No appointment necessary)
ADULT AUDITIONS: Adults will be seen from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. both days BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Adults wishing to audition for the Chorus must contact Revels production manager Lynda Johnson at ljohnson@revels.org

About the production: This year’s celebration is set during Christmastime in 1910 on a crowded passenger ship filled with emigrants from Ireland steaming towards America, the land of hope and promise. The production will include traditional music, songs, dances, and rituals from the Emerald Isle. Patrick Swanson, stage director; George Emlen, music director.
