Watertown Savings Bank (WSB) will distribute $85,000 to the 26 local community organizations chosen by their banking customers.

WATERTOWN, March 2016-- On Tuesday, April 5th, Watertown Savings Bank (WSB) will distribute $85,000 to the 26 local community organizations chosen by their banking customers, in the bank’s 20th annual Customer Choice Awards. The list of winners is below. This year’s total will bring the grand total of funds distributed via this program to one million dollars!

“We celebrate our Customer Choice Awards 20th anniversary this year, and it remains a program of which we are particularly proud,” said CEO Ronald Dean. “We are pleased to announce that we received more than 7,000 votes this year. The top vote-getter will receive $10,000. The announcement of the top vote-getter and all donation amounts will be revealed at the Awards night in April.”

Dollars to be awarded are based on the number of votes each organization received. With a maximum amount of $3,500, and this year’s top vote-getter receiving $10,000, all organizations with at least 70 votes are receiving funds. Voting took place throughout 2015.
