Black Lives Matter Coming to Watertown for a Community Conversation
Black Lives Matter Conversation Fiday

The Black Lives Matter movement -- founded in 2013 after the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the 2012 killing of Trayvon Martin -- is a social justice movement which addresses anti-black racism, pushing for black people’s right to live with dignity and respect and be included in the American democracy that they helped create.
Come here more about it, and how you can support it, on Friday, April 21st, as community organizers of the Boston chapter of the Black Lives Matter movement will be visiting Watertown to share what the movement is about, what it means for our citizens and our community, and how you can support their efforts for racial justice in America.
All are welcome! The event will run from 7 to 8:30 and will be held in the Watertown UU Church, at 35 Church Street. Babysitting will be available. Voluntary donations may be made at the door. The event is cosponsored by Watertown for Black Lives and Watertown Citizens for Peace, Justice & the Environment.
