Enjoying Your Fireplace

One of the nicest things to do during the holiday season is to light the fireplace, enjoy the beverage of your choice and relax with friends and family. Before you light your first match, be sure to have your chimney inspected and, if necessary properly cleaned. 

During the process of burning wood in your fireplace the previous season, creosote may have built up in the flue lining. This is combustible and the source of many home fires. The last thing you need is a fire in you home during the holidays. 

Also, a family of raccoons or even bees may have moved in, built a nest in the chimney and blocked it.
