Farm to Table in Watertown? Our Own Hidden Gem!

Porcini's may be Watertown's best kept secret. Fresh, local ingredients, a passionate chef, cozy interior and outdoor patio make it the perfect spot for date night, client dinners, or just because.

You have probably driven by it a million times. You know, the brick building on School Street with the sign that has the cool writing that you can't read?

Well, once you know that the sign says Porcini's, and once you step inside and our welcomed by manager Bridget into the warm dining room, you will be much better off. And once you sit down in the cozy dining room and browse through their italian themed menu, things will just keep getting better.

In the kitchen, Chef Rodney is keeping things fresh. By making daily trips to pick up the freshest local meat (which he butchers on-site), fish and veggies, Chef Rodney is also keeping it local. And it doesn't get any more local than growing your own fresh herbs on the restaurant's patio.

That's right, I said patio. Who doesn't want to eat a delicious, gourmet dinner al fresco in the Spring? Porcini's patio will open as soon as the weather cooperates, and it seats just over 30 guests. Unfortunately reservations are not accepted for the patio. However, reservations are highly recommended for Friday and Saturday evenings. Maybe you'll get a table next to local celebrities (and Porcini's frequenters) Mike Lynch, Jerry Remy, Janet Wu or Jerry York.

Porcini's is located at 68 School Street, Watertown, MA, 617-924-2221.
