Good Food and Good Fellowship for a Good Cause

Plan some choreg and kebabs into your day on June 4th.

The banners have gone up on several churches in town: it's church festival season! If you plan well, you could spend the next month enjoying excellent food and entertainment, and meeting lots of great people around town.

What could be nicer on a Saturday afternoon in the spring than to enjoy some kebabs and home made Armenian pastries with friends and neighbors? On Saturday, June 4, Armenian Memorial Church on Bigelow Avenue will host its Annual Fair, and everyone is welcome. The Rev. Avedis Boynerian, Pastor of the church, says that the whole congregation works together to make this great event happen. It's a labor of love; not only is it fun, but it also raises funds to support a camp and conference center in Beirut, Lebanon.

In addition to the food tent, there will be a bazaar featuring all sorts of hand-made items and family treasures, and a silent auction, too. The church's Armenian cookbook will be on sale, so you can learn to cook some of the things you enjoy at the fair.
