Some people will say, “Oh, that’s nice. Art is nice. But I/we/the world have bigger, more serious problems, and art is just a distraction, just a luxury, costs too much money, takes time away from working/solving problems/feeding the hungry/doing important things.

You may say, “There can’t possibly be any solutions!” And that feels true only because we haven’t thought of them yet. After someone has thought of them, we’ll say, “That seems obvious. Why didn’t we think of that before?”
My point is that the best solutions to problems at all levels come through the channel of inspiration, through the creative opening. Doing and sharing your art opens of that channel of inspiration, not just for the artist, but for everyone who comes in contact with the art.
This is why it’s imperative that we all do our art now. We can’t afford not to.
