Reflections, Gratitude and Remembrance

Friday reminded me of why I moved to Watertown and why I will continue to call it my home.

There are a lot of thing about this past week we would like to forget, and, while the past 24-hours were scary, I was reminded why I have called Watertown my home for so long. I moved here to be closer to my job, but since then, have become more involved in the area. With this involvement, I’ve gotten to know not only my neighbors and community better, but also the law enforcement. Thanks to our Watertown officers as well as countless other heroes, we can breathe a collective sigh of relief.
We cannot bring back those lost this week and coping with the grief is and will be difficult, but I know we’ll come together to battle evil with goodness.
I’ve only had two homes – Iowa and Boston – I’m proud to have spent majority of my three years here in Watertown, and I doubt I’ll change that in the near future.
Thank you all for being such great neighbors and friends.
