Bugaboo Creek Restaurants Close, Including Watertown Location

The abrupt closing Monday of Bugaboo Creek on Providence Highway in Dedham came from the top and as part of a corporate decision to close 10 locations, including ones in Watertown and Burlington.

CB Holding Corp., a New Jersey based company, announced Monday that it would turn off the ovens at 10 Bugaboo restaurants and 20 Charlie Brown's Steakhouse restaurants in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey.

The other Bugaboo Creek locations are in Brockton and Plymouth, and five in the Atlanta, Ga. area.

The Dedham Bugaboo applied for a change in manage for its liquor license in late September. The license stays with CB Holding, but will go through the renewal process for 2011 with the other licensees in December, Board of Selectmen chairman Sarah MacDonald said.
