Changes Coming To Watertown's Trash, Recycling Schedule

WATERTOWN, MA - Watertown will implement its new trash and recycling pickup schedule on Monday, Dec. 11, the town announced Thursday. Pickup routes have been altered to "operate more efficiently and increase service reliability," according to the town.

The following changes will be in effect starting Monday:

1. Collection service days for trash and recycling will change from four to five days a week: Monday – Friday
2. Every other recycling collection weeks will be A and B instead of Green and Red
3. Beginning in 2018, yard waste will be collected on your trash day on the designatated yard waste week.
4. A Second Recycling toter is now available for $90 at the Department of Public Works
