Chorus Auditions for the Christmas Revels to be Held in May

The following announcement was released by Revels:

The Revels singing group is seeking a diverse and talented group of adults and  children ages 7-12 to join us onstage as Volunteer Chorus Members for the 41st annual production of The Christmas Revels, running 16 performances Dec. 16-29 at Harvard University’s Sanders Theatre in Cambridge. Tuesday rehearsals in Watertown begin Sept. 27.

Auditions are Sunday, May 15 and Tuesday, May 17 and will be held at St. John’s Church, 80 Mt. Auburn Street, Watertown.

CHILDREN”S AUDITIONS: Children will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. both days. No appointment necessary.

ADULT AUDITIONS:  Adults will be seen from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. both days BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.  Adults wishing to audition for the chorus must contact Revels production manager Lynda Johnson at ljohnson@revels.org

Set in medieval times, the 41st annual production of The Christmas Revels will feature traditional music, dance and rituals from England, France and Spain – Patrick Swanson, director and George Emlen, music director.
