Ernie Boch, Jr. Donates New Instruments to Watertown Students
The auto magnate gifted $10,000 worth of equipment through a grant from his charity, Music Drives Us.

WATERTOWN, MA - Massachusetts businessman Ernie Boch, Jr. recently donated $10,000 worth of new instruments to Watertown schools.
The gift, consisting of 18 pieces of new music equipment was funded by a grant through his charity, Music Drives Us, the Watertown News reported. Boch appeared Wednesday at Watertown High School to listen to the band perform and present the students with a plaque commemorating the event.
The instruments consisted of 12 new hand-drums, two full keyboards, including stands and amplifiers, two base clarinets, one baritone saxophone and a plastic trombone, according to the site.

Boch has been running his charity for 10 years and has given grants to more than 150 music programs in Massachusetts, according to the Music Drives Us website.
The Norwood resident's automotive dealerships are estimated to be worth about $1 billion; Boch himself has an estimated net worth of $500 million.
