An artist reception for artist Nathalie Miebach at the Arsenal Center for the Arts.

Miebach’s large installations “focus on the intersection of art and science and the visual articulation of scientific observations” (her words) and have a vibrant, colorful, textured presentation.

On view now at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, “Changing
Waters” swirls and climbs to the ceiling as it explores the “ecological interactions between weather systems and marine environments in the Gulf of Maine.”

Miebach is known for her sculptural basket weaving techniques. Here she combines them with information-graphics, data collected from the Gulf.
