Assist seniors--train to be a Benefits Volunteer

Would you like to provide assistance to a senior that will open the door to both improved health as well as access to essential home-based services?  Many seniors who qualify for state-funded programs must be on MassHealth to receive them—and the application process so overwhelms them that they cannot cross that barrier.  In an average of 10 hours over a 6 – 8 week period, you can assist a homebound senior in completing the application and address follow up issues to secure MassHealth for the senior.  The senior can then receive the absolutely essential services that are his or her right under the law.  Become a volunteer with Springwell’s Benefit Application program.  Seniors served live in Belmont, Brookline, Needham, Newton, Waltham, Watertown, Wellesley or Weston—you can choose in which town/s you want to volunteer.  Training to be conducted on Friday, February 10, 9:30-11:30 AM and Wednesday, March 21, 9:30-11:30 AM—select the date most convenient for you.  Training conducted at Springwell, 125 Walnut St., Watertown.  Contact Soo Laski at (617) 926-4100 or SLaski@Springwell.com
