Belmont World Film, a nonprofit media arts organization, presents its 8th Annual Family Film Festival, Sat. Nov. 20 and Sun., Nov. 21. Events include Saturday's alway-popular screenings of films by Scholastic/Weston Woods Studios based on best-loved children's books (including Chicken Little and The Curious Garden produced by Watertown's own Soup2Nuts) and a program of international shorts curated by the Seattle Children's Film Festival. 10:30 and 12;30 and 2:00 screenings (all ages)
Sunday's event will be the statewide premiere of Summer Wars, a Japanese anime film that has been described as cyberpunk/sci-fi visual tour-de-force of hallucinatory pixels, kung fu jackrabbits, toothy bears and a rainbow of colors. 3:30pm (ages 9 and up)
