Perkins School for the Blind hosts the Disability Job Fair, a FREE event that connects potential employers with well-prepared job candidates who have vision impairments. Interested employers and eligible candidates are invited to Perkins’ Watertown campus on Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to discuss career opportunities, and learn how businesses are making simple and cost-effective accommodations for people who are visually impaired. Qualified candidates with visual impairments can receive resume advice, try out high-tech devices used in the workplace, and meet local employers. The event is at the new state-of-the-art Grousbeck Center for Students and Technology [GPS: 55 Beechwood Ave., Watertown, MA] on the school’s historic campus.
