Movie Matinee: "Akeelah and the Bee"

Children in grades 2-5 are invited to a movie matinee at the Watertown library.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.

"Akeelah and the Bee" is about a young girl from South Los Angeles who tries to make it to the National Spelling Bee.  The movie is rated PG, and stars Angela Bassett, Laurence Fishborne, and Keke Palmer.

This event is sponsored by the Watertown Education Foundation.  The film is being shown in preparation for the Town-Wide Spelling Bee on Sunday, February 13.
