Strong Women Stay Young - Fitness Program

This 8-week exercise class for women over the age of 40 is based upon Dr. Miriam Nelson's Strong Women book series. It will teach you basic, safe exercises using weights. Supervision by trained professionals will ensure proper exercise form to avoid injury. The program will help you to: build muscle mass thereby assisting you in weight loss or maintenance build bone mass thereby preventing osteoporosis improve balance thereby decreasing the risk of falling learn an exercise program that you can continue on your own at home after the completion of the course This class meets for 2 one-hour sessions a week for 8 weeks. An informative meeting to learn more about the course will be held a few weeks before the program begins.
