The Show Must Go On

The Watertown Recreation Department is pleased to announce a new drama/music program beginning this January 2012.  The Show Must Go On with Stacy Vachon is an 11 week workshop where children K-5 will choose music and scenes from popular musicals, then rehearse and perform them in a show for their friends and families.         The workshop will take place once per week at the Lowell School from the last week of January through April and there will be two sessions available to choose from.  The first group will meet on Mondays from 2:35-4:15 while the second group will meet Tuesdays from 2:35-4:15.  The cost for the program is $150 which includes the 11 sessions, dress rehearsal and all that is involved in putting on the show.  Costume accessories will be discussed with and created by the children on Mondays and Tuesdays during our workshops. During our sessions we will learn what it is like to be on stage in front of an audience and we will choose music from shows that the children think will be fun to perform. As a child-driven workshop, we will be singing, dancing and having an absolute blast while working hard to pull together a show to perform for you!  You will not believe what your child is capable of!!!

Tuesday Session Dates: 1/31, 2/7, 2/14, 2/28, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27, 4/3, 4/10, 4/24

Children enrolled in both sessions of this program are required to attend a MANDATORY DRESS REHEARSAL THURSDAY, APRIL 26th 3-5:30pm in the Watertown Middle School.  *Transportation will not be available on that day so please plan accordingly. The show will take place Saturday, April 28 at 7pm in the Watertown Middle School Auditorium.
